“I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it’s going pretty well,” she adds.
In the clip, Tammy sneaks out of the house and gets into a car, noting that she’s keeping her relationship a secret. As she leaves, her brother Chris steps outside to look where she went.
“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” she explains.
“You know, I think my family probably has more opinions than the world has assholes because they be farting so much,” she says with a laugh.

Tammy then reveals that she’s dating a woman, her first relationship since the death of her husband Caleb Willingham, who she met at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio while she was there working on her weight loss journey. The two fell in love and quickly married in November 2022. But seven months later, Willingham died at the age of 40 of unknown causes.
“The person I’m dating is a woman,” Tammy says in the clip. “A few years ago I came out as pansexual but after Caleb passing, I just don’t want to be with men anymore.”
“I don’t know how my family is going to react when I tell them I’m seeing a woman,” she adds.
The season premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters airs Tuesday, April 15 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC.
