General Hospital Shocker: Is Someone Spiking Sonny’s Meds with Deadly Digitalis?
General Hospital Spoilers: Are Sonny’s Meds Being Tampered With Again-This Time Spiked With Digitalis?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease there may be a reason for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) heart pains, other than eating a lot of artery-clogging cheese lasagna! Are Sonny’s meds being tampered with again—and this time, perhaps spiked with digitalis?
General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Had Injuries Near The Heart, But Never Heart Trouble
Although Sonny’s had injuries near the heart, he’s never had heart trouble-so why would it crop up now, even though he is at the age when many men do? There’s no record of any heart disease in his family, so it can’t be due to heredity, either-although Sonny does have considerable stress in his life.
The bullet he took near his heart years ago was completely removed, and there are no bullet fragments in his body that could travel and cause problems.
So why is Sonny having chest pains that seem to be related to his heart, and why did he collapse while practicing boxing moves in the ring in a recent GH episode? One thing in Sonny’s more recent medical history may be a clue-could his meds have been tampered with again-this time spiked with digitalis?
GH Spoilers: Two People In Sonny’s Orbit Have Died After Digitalis Overdoses
Two people in Sonny’s orbit, one very close to him emotionally have died in the past few months-both after operations, and both found with fatal doses of digitalis in their systems. We already know that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was responsible for the deaths of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and how he did it.
We can be reasonably sure Dex died because he was getting too close to the truth about Sam-he was asking lots of questions at Rice Park.
Cyrus is likely aware that Sonny’s bipolar meds were being tampered with last summer, even though he may have seemed not to have been in the loop.
Cyrus may be copycatting the previous crimes to make sure not to draw attention to himself in the case of his targeting Sonny!
General Hospital Spoilers: Spiking The Meds May Mean Finishing The Job In GH
Spiking the meds may mean finishing the job in GH, since the digitalis doses haven’t been tied to the IVs yet.
Cyrus injected Sam’s IV and likely Dex’s, plus the patient in August Sylvie Mullen (Uncast) may have been Cyrus’ guinea pig. Sonny is someone Cyrus doesn’t want to cross, because he knows he’d be the first suspect and Sonny would take him out first.
So first, Cyrus would have to get Sonny hospitalized and since Sonny is a big benefactor of the hospital, he wouldn’t go to Mercy, the other hospital in Port Charles. He most certainly would be taken to GH after a heart attack for testing and recovery, and that’s when Cyrus would finish the job!
