“We’re very happy that our problems with Discovery have been resolved,” the trio told The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re now heading to Dutch Harbor to start filming the next season of ‘Deadliest Catch.’ Hopefully it will be the best show yet.”
Hansen and the Hillstrand brothers left “Deadliest Catch” after Discovery sued the Hillstrands for $3 million for failing to complete a previously agreed-upon project.
Now, after the parties have successfully negotiated with each other, Discovery’s lawsuit can move towards an end.
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but both Jeff Cohen, the trio’s lawyer, and a representative for Discovery appeared excited and comfortable.
“I am delighted that the Discovery situation has been resolved,” Cohen said. “Now my clients are excited to move forward with the next installment of the show.”
