The “1000-LB Sisters” star shared the big news in a sneak-peak of her show’s upcoming season premiere. The TV personality revealed she followed through on her lesbian claims by dating a woman without her family’s knowledge.
Tammy Slaton first identified as pansexual following the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in June 2023.

The sneak-peak look at the show’s upcoming premiere episode captured Tammy raving about her new romance. “There’s something I haven’t told my family. Amy’s not the only one that’s been seeing somebody new. So have I,” she confessed with a radiant smile, adding:
“I have been seeing someone for the past couple of months, and it’s going pretty well.”
Despite having a great bond with her mystery girlfriend, Tammy noted she wouldn’t be sharing the secret with her family anytime soon.
“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” she explained, per PEOPLE.

Tammy shed more light on her same-sex needs, noting: “The person I’m dating is a woman. A few years ago, I came out as pansexual, but after Caleb’s passing, I just don’t want to be with men anymore.”
She met her late husband at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, while she was there working on her weight loss journey.
The former couple fell in love and immediately sealed their relationship with a ring in November 2022. Unfortunately, their love did not last long as Willingham passed away seven months later, in June 2023, at 40. Since his death, Tammy has not publicly announced her relationship with anyone.
Given that her same-sex romance is the first she has shared since Willingham’s death, it is understandable why Tammy wants to keep it low-key. She joked about her family having “more opinions than the world has assholes,” expressing fear for their reaction to her relationship.

“Well, I was saying I was Pansexual, but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I’m like a lesbian,” the TLC star added. Her sexuality clarification came months after fans noticed Tammy was ready to join the dating pool after her husband’s passing.
In October 2023, news surfaced that Tammy had signed up for a Facebook Dating website. Her bio included pictures from her impressive weight loss transformation and details about what she wanted in a partner. She confessed she was searching for “chatting, friendship, or a long-term relationship.”

Before Tammy cleared the air about her sexuality on social media, a source revealed she was open to dating women. They claimed the entertainer was in her “bad b-tch era,” noting she was searching for a same-sex relationship despite her pansexual status.
The insider claimed Tammy had been “talking to a few people,” but nothing “serious” had started. As for why the TV personality was suddenly interested in women, the informant credited her incredible weight loss transformation and the heartbreaking end of her marriage.
“Tammy has lost all of this weight, and she’s ready to get back out there. Caleb passing away was hard for her, but they were already having problems, and she felt he didn’t have time for her. Tammy felt that he didn’t put effort into trying to move to Kentucky and get out of rehab to be with her,” the source alleged.

However, Tammy denied the relationship rumors in a separate post on TikTok. In the since-deleted video, the TLC star donned matching black outfits with Michelle. A third lady, identified as Paola Román, joined them, but she was more of a third wheel compared to the two besties.
