General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Drops a 9AM Bombshell on Alexis – Time’s Up!
General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Drops a 9AM Bombshell on Alexis – Time’s Up!
General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, April 9, reveals that Ava Jerome (Maura West) had a 9:00 a.m. deadline for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also confessed to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about his heart condition, so here’s how all the action played out.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) mended her relationship with Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) – partly to avoid raising suspicions and partly because she now understood her mother needed someone to confide in when she told Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) the truth.
In the stables, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) came clean to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) about realizing she still loved Dante the night of the explosion.
It was like no time had passed for Lulu, who still loved Dante now and perhaps always would. Cody thought Lulu should hold off on confessing to Dante and basically praised her for being selfless by giving him a chance to grieve Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
At Jordan Ashford’s (Tanish Harper) place, she thanked Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) for the lunch he made and faced questions about how long they’d have to keep hiding out like this.
Jordan stressed the importance of hiding their romance from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and eventually got a text about Sidwell wanting to see her.
At the Metro Court, Sonny met up with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) for lunch and learned she’d invited Dante. Kristina convinced Sonny to come clean to Dante about his heart issues and upcoming surgery.
Sonny also had a chance to witness a tense interaction between Sidwell and Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) from afar.
At the hospital, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) texted Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) hoping he could show him around town. Lucas was pleased when he saw dots to indicate Marco was typing back, but he looked deflated when those dots disappeared.
After Isaiah approached Lucas about covering an upcoming shift, Lucas asked if he could get back to him in a couple hours – though he didn’t seem very hopeful about his plans with Marco panning out.
Back at the Metro Court, Marco put his phone aside to hash things out with Natalia. Since Natalia was still stuck on Marco throwing away his musical talent and letting Sidwell steer him toward a law career, he lashed out.
Marco reflected on Natalia being a bigot who hadn’t changed, but Natalia felt that she had and suggested Marco would see that if he got to know her now. However, Marco wasn’t convinced and wound up stomping off before Natalia ordered a drink.
Natalia was at the bar later when Sonny approached her to demand answers about her earlier interaction with Sidwell.
At GH again, Marco found Lucas and let him know he expected his job offer to come through. That meant Marco would be moving to Port Charles, so he agreed to go out with Lucas and celebrate.
At Jordan’s place, Sidwell made a pitch for her to come do PR for him and help him navigate his business expansion to the U.S. Although Sidwell insisted he could make a very lucrative offer, Jordan was happy being deputy mayor and shut him down.
Later, Jordan filled Isaiah in on her conversation with Sidwell and suggested she had him right where she wanted him.
At the Metro Court, Sidwell pestered Laura Collins (Genie Francis) for a meeting since he’d been calling her office repeatedly, but she wasn’t interested.
Laura talked to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) instead and learned Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) was cooking up press coverage about her friendship with Sonny influencing her esplanade decision.
Curtis felt Laura should put it to a public vote – though Laura acknowledged that vote would end up being a vote on Sonny rather than just the esplanade’s location.
In Alexis’ office, Ava insisted she had proof that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) tried to kill her and played the video of Kristina with the wire cutters in the parking garage.
Kristina messed with Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) car by mistake, so Ava pointed out that the car’s brakes were indeed tampered with and that it was in a secure location.
Now Ava wanted Alexis to give her millions from the Cassadine funds to keep Kristina out of prison and protect her daughter’s relationship with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
Alexis argued that what Ava had was only circumstantial and called her out for breaking the chain of evidence by having the vehicle moved.
Although Alexis acted like Ava could be accused of tampering with the proof, Ava ultimately suggested she could just go straight to Molly with her story. Ava made a prediction about Molly’s negative reaction to Kristina almost killing her father.
In the end, Ava gave Alexis until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow to decide what Kristina’s future would be. As Ava sauntered out, Alexis stood there looking concerned.
General Hospital spoilers say Alexis will have a big decision to make now that she’s been given updates on Ava’s shocking news! CDL will have other terrific General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so check back frequently for more GH.
