Here’s What Josh Kelly Said About Cody and Tracy’s General Hospital Relationship
Josh Kelly opened up about Cody and Tracy being friends, and he would like to see the two laugh as the world thinks he’s conning her.
From Stable Boy To Investment Student
Cody has been taking care of the horses at the Quartermaine stables. He also makes sure the riders have everything they need. This includes Tracy (Jane Elliot), and that’s how the two developed a friendship. While Tracy’s not one to fraternize with the hired help, just by looking at her eyes, you could tell she saw something interesting in the rugged, former stuntman.
Tracy has experienced quite a bit of loss in recent years, including that of her husband, Luke (Anthony Geary). Her budding relationship with Gregory (Gregory Harrison) was cut short when he passed away. She was also close friends with Gregory’s son Finn (Michael Easton), who recently left town for good.
When Cody nearly told the world that Drew (Cameron Mathison) slept with his own nephew’s wife, Drew paid him hush money to the tune of $50,000. Tracy tried giving Cody investment advice. But he didn’t heed her words. Instead, he lost the money on a bad bet. And he ended up in the police drunk tank after a bar fight. Kelly took time to talk to Soap Opera Digest about Cody’s drama and relationships.
Tracy, Thankfully, Isn’t His Cousin
Another reason Cody’s been acting out is that he found out his girlfriend was his first cousin. And they ultimately had to break things off. The actor speculated about who could be Cody’s next love interest and then was asked if he was enjoying Cody and Tracy’s friendship. “I love it, but I want more! He definitely loves her. She loves him,” he excitedly explained. “He’s a rascal — a rascal that reminds her of Luke.”
Kelly noted that Elliot would love nothing more than to have Cody try and swindle Tracy out of some money, something Luke had done in the past. But he doesn’t want that to happen. He would rather have it be a situation where people think that’s what he’s doing, but it turns out not to be the case. He feels that while folks would come down on him for a perceived con on Tracy, the two would think, “No, we know exactly what this is, and we just like each other more than we like you guys! Plus, I’m pretty sure she’s not my cousin [laughs].”
