Justin appeared on the show at nearly 600 lbs, while his brother, Steven, weighed over 800 pounds. They haven’t been on speaking terms but decided to turn their lives around by seeking Dr. Now’s help. It was never an easy journey for the siblings. Steven had issues not just with Dr. Now but also with the medical staff during his journey.
He got kicked out of the hospital for his abusive behavior. Despite the controversies, the My 600-Lb Life star was able to fulfill Dr. Now’s orders and qualified for bariatric surgery. He eventually dropped 131 pounds, bringing himself down to 677.5 pounds. Meanwhile, Justin shed 172 pounds and left the show at 432 lbs.
Steven’s Brother, Justin, Gets Married
Justin made headlines last December after sharing a photo of his new girlfriend named Alauren. Many were surprised by Justin’s revelation. But what caught the attention of many was when the My 600-Lb Life star revealed that they were already married.
According to Justin Assanti, they tied the knot on January 3, 2025. There were no photos from their wedding, making some fans suspect that everything between them was not legitimate. Regardless, many are happy about how Justin was able to turn his life around.
