Shocking News: Sonny Have A Heart Attack On December 26 General Hospital!
It may not be the Christmas the Corinthos family was expecting.
After a wonderful Christmas Eve with his daughter, things may have taken a dark turn for Sonny on the December 26, 2024 episode of General Hospital.
A Wonderful Christmas Eve Time
After cooking a Christmas Eve dinner for his kids and Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard) left to spend some quality time with the child who needed it most this holiday: Kristina (Kate Mansi). After losing the baby, mourning Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) death, breaking up with her girlfriend, and being at odds with Molly (Kristen Vaganos), it’s been a tough year for Kristina, who has leaned on her dad the most.
The pair watched Laura (Genie Francis) light the tree in Rice Plaza before Kristina made an admission to her father. She was certain she would feel empty this Christmas, but being in the festive Rice Plaza with her dad helped her feel the same wonder and hope she always did.
A Blue Christmas
Kristina decided to spend the night at her dad’s, cuddled on the couch when she told him she wouldn’t have made it through the year without him. As she headed to bed and it started to snow, Sonny took a peek out into his balcony as Port Charles became covered in white. When he turned the lights off to go to bed, that was when he froze, wincing as he brought a hand to his chest.
Although it only lasted a moment before Sonny headed to bed, it’s easy to assume the mobster could have a heart attack coming on. Another interesting take on Sonny’s sudden pain would be to make it anxiety or panic attack-induced. Sonny’s portrayer has often spoken out about the physical symptoms of his real-life anxiety on his podcast State of Mind, and with the character being known for struggling with mental health, it would be a good way to scare his family without something being seriously wrong.
